Tempest, Love's Labour's Tour Queens Parks

Hip to Hip Theatre Company logoNew York City's Hip to Hip Theatre Company, celebrating its seventh season of Free Shakespeare in the Park in Queens, is touring productions of William Shakespeare's The Tempest and Love's Labour's Lost in repertory to 10 Queens' parks, covering every geographical area of the borough, from July 24 to August 18.

The company will also make tour stops in Jersey City, N.J., and Southampton on Long Island.

These family-friendly productions are for lovers of Shakespeare and for those experiencing Shakespeare for the first time. The company stages full theatrical productions with their own sets, costumes, and audio gear. All performances are free and open to the public. Bring blankets, low chairs and picnic fare. Seating is first come, first served.

Hip to Hip's new free children's program “Kids & the Classics” will be offered 30 minutes before each performance. This total-theater experience will enrich, empower, and entertain kids of all ages through a series of games teaching the tenets of ensemble playing while introducing them to the elements of theater and the words and imaginative stories of Shakespeare's plays.
